What this is

A music video is one post. This is an afternoon that produces several.

Most artists pay for a video, get one file back, and post it once. Three weeks later the song is old and there is nothing left to say about it.

An afternoon here produces separate pieces from separate setups. You play the song stripped back. You sit down and go through what it actually says. We shoot you moving, in the room, as its own thing. Those are not one video cut three ways. They were shot to be three pieces, and they post on different days for different reasons.

The room

One room on the second floor, in downtown Tampa. Exposed brick, warm lamps, candles lit, a red wash on the back wall, a mic on the desk. Every artist sits and stands in the same places, and that's deliberate. Twenty artists shot in twenty locations is a moodboard. Twenty artists shot in one room is a body of work.

What you get

Three pieces. Four files. One afternoon.

It goes out on MOTH, and every file is yours to post. Both, one price.

The pieces Runtimes from No. 001
01 The performance 2:03

You play the song stripped back. Live vocal, real audio, a dressed room. Cut from three angles. You get it two ways: wide for YouTube, vertical for everywhere else.

Two files

02 The interview 0:53

You sit down and go through the song. What it says, what it meant, what it cost. No questions sent in advance. Cut for posting, captioned, ready to go up as it's.

One file

03 The portrait 0:04

You, moving, in the room, shot as its own piece and not as an offcut of the video.

One file

Rough cut inside two weeks of your shoot day. The first weekend doesn't count, so a Saturday shoot starts its clock on Monday.

What this doesn't include.

  • We do not write the song and we do not produce it. You bring it finished.
  • We do not promise streams, playlist placement, or that anybody finds you.
  • We pick the date your feature goes up. Your files land first, so you're not waiting on us to start posting.
  • Nobody gets paid to perform, including you.

Case study

Why we cut it this way.

Before MOTH filmed anybody, Pax took the format apart to work out why it holds attention. The room, the mic on the desk, the one-take vocal, the fact that nothing is hidden. Then he built the sessions around what he found.

Problem
An artist releases a song and posts a link. Nobody has a reason to stop.

Pax's song-marketing work has been featured on Rapville.

06
One song, several posts

You showed up once. You post for weeks.

The wide performance is a YouTube upload. The same performance, vertical, is a reel. The interview cut is its own post on its own day. The portrait piece is a third.

That's one afternoon and four things to put out, none of which is the same file resized. You decide the order. You decide the pace.

Four files. Four days you did not have to plan.

Wide for YouTube, vertical for everywhere else. Same take, finished twice, not one file cropped.

How it works

How it works

  1. 01

    You book

Pick a date and pay the deposit. The date is yours when the payment clears, not before.

  2. 02

    You send the song

One link, one song. Somebody actually listens to it before you get here, because the interview is about that song and it doesn't work if we have not heard it.

  3. 03

    You come in

One afternoon, one room in downtown Tampa. You sign the release before anything rolls. Bring what you play. We handle the rest.

  4. 04

    You get the files

Rough cut inside two weeks of your shoot day, first weekend excluded. One folder, everything in it.

  5. 05

    It goes up

Your feature publishes on MOTH. We pick the date. You do not have to wait for it to start posting your own.

Who runs it

Who runs it

Pax Moore

Host / MOTH

I kept running into people here who were making real things and had nobody pointing a camera at them. Not because they were not ready. Because nobody was looking. So the room exists now, and the only thing I am trying to do with it's make sure that when somebody finally looks, there is something already there worth finding.

Music video

Some artists want a full video for the same song. That's its own build. The scope changes the gear, the crew and the day, so we work it out on a call instead of off a list.

Waitlist

Not ready yet.

No date, no budget, or just not this month. Put your name down and we'll come back when there is a room that fits.

If it's the same, write it again.

So we can answer you. We do not sell it and we do not add you to anything you did not ask for.

@

One song. Not a playlist, not a folder. The one you would want a stranger to hear first.

However you would say it.

When does your next release come out?

What do you want help with?

We read every one. You'll hear back either way.

Or send the word [KEYWORD] to @membrsofthehouse and we'll pick it up there.

Questions

Questions

What exactly do I get?
Three pieces from one afternoon, delivered as four files. The performance wide and vertical, the interview cut for posting, and the portrait piece. Rough cut inside two weeks of your shoot day, first weekend excluded.
Does the $999 mean I get featured on MOTH?
Yes. That's what it buys. The feature goes out on MOTH and the files are yours to post on your own accounts. Both, one price. We pick the date it goes up on our side. You do not have to wait for that to start posting yours.
Can I use the files however I want?
They're yours for your own marketing. Post them, run them as ads, put them on your press page, send them to a booker. You sign a release before we roll and it covers what each side can do with the recording. Read it. Ask about anything in it you do not like.
Do I have to have a release coming?
No. It works better if you do, because there is something for the files to point at. The session doesn't require one.
How many dates are there?
Not many. We shoot several artists on one day rather than one artist a day, so dates open in blocks and they fill. If the date you want is gone the next block is the next one.
When does my feature go up?
We pick the date. It depends on what else is in the run and how the batch cuts. Your files land first either way, so nothing you post is waiting on our calendar.
Where is it?
Downtown Tampa. We send the exact address when you book.
What if I am not in Tampa?
The sessions are in person and we're not travelling yet. If you're somewhere else, follow the account and watch the roster. When there is a second city we'll say so here first.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Bring what you play. No styling, no hair and makeup, no rehearsal notes. Send us the song ahead of time so the interview is about your song and not about you in general.
Why the deposit?
The date is held by the payment and nothing else. $499.50 books it. $499.50 is due when the files land.
Can you shoot my music video too?
Yes, and it's a separate conversation. Every video needs different gear and a different day depending on what you want, so we work out the scope on a call and quote it from there. Book a call and bring the song.
Who is behind this?
Pax Moore runs it. It's produced by Mount Up Media in Tampa.

The room doesn't sort by genre

Bring what you play.

Rap, R&B, soul, rock, singer-songwriter, whatever it's you actually do. The setup doesn't change and the questions do not change, because the questions are about your song.

The room is one room. What comes through it's not one thing.
